wow, first SU post for me

ok, i have had a play around this morning with SU and have come up with a little image. i have to set up the standard framelock beams and posts as "components" and have started to do so.

 

this is what i have so far.

 

 

how can i get rid of or reduce the segmenting of curved items??

Nice start. To get a smoother circle (arc) you need to set the segments prior to drawing the circle.

Actually you can change it after drawing the circle but once you have push/pulled you cannot.

So it is a good rule of thumb to always set your segments first.

 

When you click on the circle tool (or arc) you will see a number in the VCB (Value Control Box).

Just type the number you want (don't click in the VCB window).
