oddssatisfy Posted Saturday at 01:38 AM Posted Saturday at 01:38 AM Hey everyone, I have a laptop that suddenly won’t power on, and I’m hoping to get some advice on diagnosing the issue. When I press the power button, there are no lights, no fan noise, and no signs of life. I’ve already tried the basics—checking the power adapter with a multimeter (it’s outputting the correct voltage), removing the battery and holding the power button for 30 seconds, and even reseating the RAM and SSD. Still no luck. Could this be a motherboard failure, or is there something else I should check first? Are there any common weak points on most laptops that could cause this issue? I have experience with basic electronic repairs, so I’m comfortable opening it up if necessary. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Quote
