Mory Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Hi all, well I have been tasked to work with a couple of existing dwg format/title blocks for piping isometric drawings. I am needing to edit and change some of the information fields the title blocks have provided drafters to input data into. Wow this is so complicated! I can't tell what the difference is between "tags" "prompts" and whatnot inside these attributes. Anybody real good with these got any tips for me? Thanks! Quote
BIGAL Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Are they fields or attributes ? There is a big difference between the two. yes can update multiple blocks changing a single or more attributes across a dwg. If its fields then its more complicated Can you post a dwg ? 1 Quote

If you know anything about programming, it's like the name of a variable. A prompt is the text you see when you insert the block and have to provide values for each attribute. In other words, it's asking the user for data. The tag and the prompt can be the same, although the prompt is usually more verbose. If you double-click on a block, you'll see the Enhanced Attribute Editor. It will show you the tags, prompts, and current values for each attribute on the "Attribute" tab. You can also edit the Font and the other Properties on the other tabs. If you have more questions, feel free to ask them here. Quote
