Discus84 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) Hi, Attached is a plan of an interior. It does not fit into specified paper size (36x24) in the scale we use (1:8) I would like to divide it into 3 parts... Usually we : 1) use 3 viewports, but some of the dimensions would stick out (be unfinished) at the edge and it looks (ugly and confusing). 2) copy the piece into 3 separate parts in model space and dimension the parts(more work) I don't like any of the options although the second option looks semi decent. What is the proper way of approaching such layout? Could someone provide an example? Edited January 24 by Discus84 Quote
BIGAL Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Really just a guess, for the dims add << & >> to dim lines at edge, so it looks like dims continue. You could make a new dim in pspace and override the measurement with correct value, Chspace gives some sort of answer make a copy of the Dim at same location. Quote
SLW210 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Would a Field referencing the model space dimension work? I'll think about it, I've done this before, though I might have just used a dimoverride. Quote
Discus84 Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 Another quick option is a wipe out around viewport (under vievport frame). This creates a buffer and none of the lines touch viewport frame. Looks OK implying a partial view. This must be a common thing in more elaborate drawings, I just haven't seen one like that. Quote
