robinberghuys Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 For a class I have to model a temporary exhibition space. The final product has to be rendered in VIZ. I started making it in autocad, since I find it easier to work with, having no experience with VIZ. Now, after a while, I thought I'd see how my model would look in VIZ, just as a check on my progress and to see if importing a .dwg into VIZ really was as easy as I had been told. Apparently not so much, because it looks as if some faces just disappear from sight. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Or would it be easier to just start over and re-do the parts that look wrong, at this point? Thanks in advance! Quote
Cad64 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I've never used VIZ, but if its anything like Max, it could be that some of the models faces got flipped during importing. Make sure you have "Backface Cull" disabled. Quote
robinberghuys Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 I didn't find that setting, but after fiddling around with the import settings I seem to have gotten it right. Thanks, for the tip, though! So we can let this thread die now! Quote
