The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Since you are using metric, Zoom to the drawings extents. That message makes no sense. Should not matter Imperial or Metric. The program creates it own block list. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Do you have the drawings for these slides? If so can you send me them. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 The program draws the same thing no matter what I pick. Also getting alot of nil errors. You are missing default values. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 By some chance are you trying to create slides with all of this in one drawing or are you doing these in individual drawings? Quote
flowerrobot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Thanks for you help, Ive managed to cruddly make them. Thanks heaps for you time & patience weight.zip Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 You could use a previous button in these dialogs to go back if the user changes their mind. Quote
flowerrobot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Sorry did you say, it keeps inserting the same thing every time? And you are getting alot of nil problem? About my program? Will look into placing a back button, Cheers flower Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 You done great with the images! You need to fix your default data and have a way to go back to the main dialog with some kind of a previous or back button. I also assume you are still working on the output files also, So I will look foward to seeing the complete version. Great job on the images. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 There are some blank edit tiles with no information in them. You should at least provide some default data to avoid nil errors. Anyway just suggestions, I do not want to get to far ahead of you since you know which way you want to go with your program. But you got the images down good. Great Work! Quote
flowerrobot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Sorry, Im kinda lost, Apart from the back button. defult items? Are you meaning in the selection drop down box for the angle and beams? As yes i need to place that defult weight for the beam, and left the anlge one blank on purpose, but then again, i should be consistant the output is the mass box inserted. Cheers Flower Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 I guess I do not fully understand the program so I will not try to be that critical. But I think when its completed you should let others take for a test spin to get a variety of input. Then you can put the finishing touches on it. As far as the images go I hope I was helpful. You seem to have handled it with very little help. Quote
flowerrobot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Its just to creat a bill of materials for each dwg. Instead of looking up catalogues and sheets, for weights and what not it does it for you and places it in a text box. this can take some hours on larger drawings etc 10000kg's. Mate be a critacal as you would like, its all taken on board and i will always try and improve. Saddly, ive still got alot of data to collect, for other the other country's standards Thank you heaps with the help, once you get a hang of that program, and work out the factor of it all, much easyer thanks again! The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Its after midnight here, So I will retire now. Again I look foward to seeing the finished product. Good luck And I am always willing to help where I can. Do not hesitate to ask if you need anykind of help. This is a great site for it. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Ok I think I got it now. But their is more to do, So get going. As I said, Look foward to the finished product. Quote
