The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Is their any sort of thing, Image or alike that can be compliled into a vlx. as im trying to keep it all in a nice easy file. This can also be compiled into a vlx no problem. Correction: The vector_image yes. External slides no. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Glad you fixed it, Let me know how its going. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 I compiled the IDS.lsp with the IDS.dcl program. Here is the IDS.vlx as one file with the vector_image slides to show you that this can be done. Note: Ignore the help file button on this program as this is not completed yet. Just showing an example that the vector_image works in a compiled file. Also take note that the whole file is only 48.0 KB (Not Bad) IDS.zip Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 One last thing I would like to point out. Solids will not appear as they are using this method or for that matter regular slides. They will show up as a mesh. Just wanted you to understand this. Quote
flowerrobot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Sorry didnt realise you would reply so fast. I had a error , with the tile above, where i pasted incorrectly. Thanks heaps for you help. With that vlx. Your using vector images arnt you. I ment, images such as sld, and wmf or what ever. are you saying you can with these? It donst have a option for thoese does it? Sorry couldnt look at your program, the dcl wouldnt load. Yer i relised that when i looked at the image, it also only looks at plan, not your view point, Not that im complaining, this thing should be standard with vlide Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 The vector_image slides you see are actually wmf. SLD cannot be compiled into the code as I have tried. Vector_image is your best bet and as you can see it produces a small file. Think about it, That program creates loads of different door blocks and has typical images for them. This program take up a small fraction of space for what that program and all the drawings it can produce compared to storage space on your drives.. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 The vlx program does not require a dcl. Did you have a problem with the vlx file? Quote
flowerrobot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Also, How do you center the vector images? Is this done with the promps at the start for width & height? Here is my program if it helps, Looking at defun "main menu" Weights.zip Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 I draw the objects I need to normal size and place a reference frame around it for the same position of each slide. I zoom to the extents of the frame then shut it off. I run the mimage2.lsp program and it takes care of the rest. I will check out what you have and give you some feed back as soon as I can. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Thats odd since I tested it on 2004 and 2009 with no problem. Quote
flowerrobot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Purhaps you have your search paths still looking at your location for it, Im not sure, once you complile it, it should work really. I re-downloaded it but still error. Thanks for you help, When you have the time would love suggestions for it. By the chance do you work with steel sections? And have a good pdf. or program with steel sizes? As my search over here in aus, is amazinly hard to find american section details. Cheers Flower Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Thanks, I will check that out. In the mean time I ran your program and saw two images. Not sure if they are what you expected, But the program functioned OK. When you run the mimage2.lsp it will show you the image in a dialog configured to a specific size. In order for your program image to look correct you will need to use the dimensions from the prototype dcl that is created. Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 I removed all paths and made sure I was loading only the vlx and it worked. Not sure what the problem is? Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Do you have a sample of the drawing you are trying to make the image from? Quote
flowerrobot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Thanks, ill try it again with and input of 15 x 5, Program worked that time fine, untill i hit insert, and couldnt find a dwg. Ill try again thanks. slds.zip Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Those are regular .sld. As I mentioned they cannot be compiled into the program. I was asking for the drawing you used to make the slide. Also what drawing did you select when you got the error for my program? Quote
flowerrobot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Yer , those sld, are basicly what im using, Their all free hand, i make em up on the spot, Ive relised why im having trubble getting the sizes, i think, because the program only works in imperial, while i work im metric, the error is "1-36x1.75-90-R-I-O-WA.dwg": Can't find file in search path: Quote
The Buzzard Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Thats odd, I just inserted that door no problem. No sure about the search path thing since the blocks are made in the program. Quote
