muckletoon Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I replaced my old 16" flatscreen monitor with a new 22" Belinea (wider screen format), however when I draw a circle in AutoCAD2007 I end up with an onscreen oval. How do I tell AutoCAD I have upgraded, before I tear my hair out ? Quote
cpriedel Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I could be wrong but dont you set these settings by "right-klick on desktop" "Properties" "Settings Tab". Thought by chooseing one or the other "Screen resolution" changes how everything is displayed Quote
ReMark Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I suggest using your new monitor's OSD to solve the problem of oval circles. Quote
Jack_O'neill Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I suggest using your new monitor's OSD to solve the problem of oval circles. I'd also recommend going to the manufacturer's website and downloading the most updated driver, if you haven't already. You may have to play around with the screen resolution some to get everything to look right. The widescreen monitors don't work well with standard resolutions. My 19" widescreen is set at 1440 x 900 pixels, and the standard 19" next to it is set at 1280 x 1024. Quote
kevinp Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Use the native resolution of the monitor. Using a 4:3 resolution (1024x768 for example) on a 16:10 monitor will end up distorting the image and you will get things like oval circles and stretched lines. Change to a 16:10 resolution such as 1440x900, 1680x1050, or 1920x1200 and the problem should go away. Quote
