lastknownuser Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 Like the title says, is this possible with lisp? Will post some dwg example if needed, but its simple, I have a block with text attributes and I'd like to preview it before inserting in drawing, the point of this is to choose best possible place for it in the drawing with regards to other objects so there is no text overlap. Couldn't find any info on that searching the forums. Quote
SLW210 Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 Check the second part of Lee Mac's answer HERE. This by Kent Cooper may help with attributes. Notice both use grread. Quote

Notice both use grread. Forgot to say the block is not dynamic, its regular simple block with insertion point and text. I'll check those links. I don't need snapping so grread would be okay to use Quote
SLW210 Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 The process should be the same, just skip the part where they are manipulating the block to set visibility. If I have time I'll look at it, I had that marked to manipulate dynamic blocks, but looks easier if just an attributed block, IMO. Quote
BIGAL Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Old fashioned pop menu had insert with "drag" option, this allowed position and rotation. [FURNITURE:] [CTONE(CHAIR-1)]^c^cINSERT ca3ch-1 DRAG \1;;DRAG Just set the correct options manual insert. Quote
