Actually there is an issue... the program ends when I pick my text where in v2.5 it works perfectly. See image:

Might be an issue with the TEXT comand in 2008. (I only have 2006)

You know, while I have your attention, let me ask you this.... (and by no means am I asking for a handout but it would be nice in our line of work): Sometimes when we number/tag our equipment, we have two sets of text in one string. Most of the time, its just one. For example:

 

Our rooftop unit locations would include:

RTU-1, RTU-2, RTU-3, etc.

 

But sometimes our VAV box equipment is divided by wings or zones such as:

VAV-1W-1, VAV-1W-2, VAV-1W-3, etc (VAV = Variable Air Volume, -1W = 1st Floor West Wing, -1, -2, -3 is the number of the equipment).

 

I figured this would be too much trouble to program but it might be beneficial for a future update for others as well. Just a "real-world" thought is all.

Same error. Used different text styles too, just in case. Here's the error report:

 

Error: bad argument type: numberp: nilundo Current settings: Auto = On, Control = All, Combine = Yes

it does not seem to work with incriments on .1. Like I wanted 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4

I was able to recreate Mike's error but not Tannar's.

I am currently working on the Prefix / Suffix ignore idea Tannar proposed.
