Can VBA be used move a group of all entities a given layer in a drawing (Say e1) to

layer 0 then delete e1? Can that be done? If this can be done I am thinking about

putting this in a batch process for a group of drawings a once.

Thank you,

i use something like that to process consultant drawings. All of the layers that come in that are non standard are deleted. Then I print their drawings, and complain about the whitespace. When they ask where design went, I tell them they failed to follow the provided standard, and our audit deleted the design. I also have buy in from upper management that they dont get paid til the drawings pass the audit.

We do this quite often for our customers. We cycle through every single entity in the drawing and based on its properties or predefined properties, we set its layer and properties. Basically, once you get an entity to its base entity (whether in the drawing or inside a block definition) you alter its layer property.
