Thomassen85 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Hi all, I have a excisting building drawing with several areas being numbered and named. Now i want to create a list of the room names and the corresponding number in a Excel list. My idea was to just type over from the drawing but i already noticed that not all areas are named and/or numbered. Also i noticed that the numbers dont make sense. So the first room number starts with 0.01 and the last is 0.91 but there are not that many rooms so im missing like 30 numbers. My question is if there is a list of those numbers and names you can pull out from CAD, so i can see if there is some kind of logic to the numbering. Hope i explained clearly and someone can help me with my question. Regards, R Quote
SLW210 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 You'll probably need to post a .dwg to be looked over. Where did the drawing originate from? Quote
Thomassen85 Posted August 28 Author Posted August 28 its a drawing from 2018 made by external company but they dont excist anymore. To be honest i dont wanna share the drawings as it has company name and address on it. I just wanna figure out if there is a index list of room numbers in CAD that can be edited so it automaticly adjust it on the drawing or if the numbers and names have to be edited one by one on the drawing. SLW210 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Impossible for me tell, wouldn't that have to be in the .dwg? Titleblocks, names and addresses can be removed. Quote
BIGAL Posted August 29 Posted August 29 (edited) Use wblock so just get a sample portion of the dwg from "Model" Looking at image almost easier to just redo the numbers and names say "Reception" & "1". There is a few ways to speed up select room name if there is not to many names. As already asked need a dwg. Edited August 29 by BIGAL Quote
