manchest Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Hi again Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am not sure what to search for. I have a drawing which I have applied a soil material to which I am happy with. The problem is I can see lots of faint lines like you get when you draw a cylinder. When I render the drawing the lines disapear but all the colors go a lot lighter & I get a black background, How I keep the colors the same and remove the lines? I have atached 2 .jpg so you can see the difference, the lighter of the 2 is the rendered versions Thank for your help Quote
papagyi Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 You should use light sources (eg,sun...).Then you must adjust material setting depend on your rendering result with lights & shadow ! Quote
manchest Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 Is there a tutorial on material settings/lights? I have changed the settings in Materials but it does not seem to make much differance. Is there a way of removing the lines without rendering the object? Quote
papagyi Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Here is good tutorial for sun & material link..http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=10975906 Next...http://www.dailyautocad.com/render/ For your request for removing line, first set to "dispsilh" "1". Then change to conceptual mode & edit to show material according to my attach image! Quote
