Dynamic Block Visibility Grip Missing

 

In one of our regular title blocks (dynamic) I get the visibility icon when I select the title block (changes the zones)

 

 

I have a legacy drawing with the same functionality but the icon is missing.

 

 

If I edit the block the icon is there

 

 

I did figure out how to get around this by using Properties

 

 

How can I get the icon to appear again?

 

I cannot upload the drawing unfortunately.

Going by my usual cursory research, could it be a nested block with the visibility property contained within the title block? I just created a block with a visibility parameter and then included it in another nondynamic block; the visibility icon went away.

 

Got to do some work, I'll come back and look for more possibilities.
