Does anyone know how to turn the item highlight off on AutoCAD 2008?

i.e. when you hover your crosshair above a line/item it highlights it. Previous editions did not do this (to my knowledge) and its quite distracting!

Cheers for any help! :)

In 2006 it's ASSIST- OPTIONS- SELECTION- then in the selection preview box there are two check boxes... not sure if it's the same in 2008 or not?

Probably a difference between Mechanical and vanilla Autocad

Yep, got it thanks. Sorry, could have found it myself, but had a very long day yesterday and feeling a little lazy!

Yep you're right Riga- it's TOOLS instead of ASSIST in Vanilla... just checked, the rest is the same though...

Also sorry Geoffers I didn't notice you'd already put down pretty much the same thing

Easiest is to type OP or OPTIONS then go to the Selection tab...
