I created several scale blocks and then copied them from one drawing to another. The blocks in the new drawing are showing up with very heavy lineweights instead of what they should be.

I created al of them on the 0 layer and inserted on the 0 layer. I tried editing the blocks in the new drawing, but when in the block editor, they look fine. I'm at a loss, any ideas?

One reason could be your LWDISPLAY system variable. If the old drawing has LWDISPLAY=0 and the new drawing is 1, you will get this behavior.

Another culprit could be the color you assigned to layer 0. If you're displaying lineweights in both drawings, but that layer's lineweight is different in the new drawing, you'll see objects differently.

If the line objects in the block definition properties are set to specific colors, lineweights & linetypes instead of bylayer or byblock they should display & plot the same no matter what drawing they're inserted into.

Best explanation I've seen: https://www.cad-notes.com/layer-0-bylayer-and-byblock/

Thank you both so much! It was the lineweight. Checked to display in one but not the other.
