But if i am not a student, Is this the only option to get free version to install on personal computer at home beside have to spend a lot of $ to buy the license? I just curious. Thank you. Quote

CyberAngel Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Autodesk has a new program called Autodesk Flex, and don't you want to know how it works? You buy a sack full of tokens, at about $3 apiece. Whenever you want to use an Autodesk product, you spend a set number of tokens, and you can legally use that product that day until you close that app. For instance, vanilla AutoCAD costs 7 tokens per use, Maya is 6, Civil 3D is 9, Revit is 10. Caveats: You must buy at least 100 tokens (that's $300). Tokens expire after one (1) year. Good news: if you buy more than 5,000 tokens, you get quantity discounts. I suppose this would make sense if you're a freelancer who uses AutoCAD now and then. It's a price point between unlicensed (with watermarked drawings) and fully licensed. Quote

Danielm103 Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Both ZwCAD and GStarCAD work after their trials have ended. After which it becomes limited with saving and has a plot watermark. It’s awesome if you just want to goof around with programming or drawings Both have good SDKs GRX/ZRX, .NET, Lisp.. and 3d support Quote
