ziemerd Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 My viewport is set to 1:1 but the drawing is not showing up in that scale. I've set my Page Setup Manager to 11 x 17 paper and my drawing should take up most of the paper since it's a 10.5 x 19 panel but it's not. I just made the viewport so I know I didn't mess anything up by activating the viewport and making changes. I did a CTRL A in model space and I see what looks like an invisible block, most likely my WD_M block I need for AutoCADE and it's way off to the side. Could this be causing the problem? In the past I have found some little something off to the side of the drawing that when deleted it fixes my scale problem. Thanks. Dawn Quote
JBullseye74 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 You probably need to scale up your viewport from 1:1 Remember Model space draw everything at 1:1 then Paperspace Tabs do your viewport & scales to suit the size of your model. So say a detail viewport may be 1:2 or 1:5 and a plan or elevation say 1:100 or even 1:200. Quote
ziemerd Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 Everything is drawn 1:1 in Model Space. JBullseye74, what do you mean by scaling up my viewport from 1:1? My viewport is already 1:1 which should make what I've drawn in model space too big for the viewport but that's not what's happening. I've included a screen shot of my viewport properties. Quote
JBullseye74 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 There are a number of ways to do this.... As displayed in your properties STANDARD SCALE wants changing from 1:1 to say 1:5 keep trying different scales till your model fits into the viewport. OR double click into your viewport and select a scale from your viewport scale dropdown list. The old fashioned way was to click into your viewport type zoom, then scale then say 0.1xp to achieve scale 1:10 or 0.5xp to get 1:2 scale. Its much easier now though don't worry about the last procedure. Quote
ziemerd Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 Thanks JBullseye74. I somehow got it to work. :-) Quote
