Jovial Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I have a JPEG that I want to resize and was wondering if I could do it in Autocad. The problem is that the jpeg has a different scale on the horizontal axis compared to the vertical axis. The jpeg has grid lines on it that should form 20x20 boxes. When I bring in the JPEG (I use imageattach), I can only scale the entire picture. So I can make the horizontal axis equal to 20 feet, but then the horizontal axis is off. I'm thinking that I can't do it in autocad. The program I used to make the JPEG doesn't allow me to set any parameters, it just makes it the way it wants to make it. So I guess the short question is do I have to resize it another program first, or is there some way to do it in Autocad? I attached the JPEG if that helps any. Quote
Jovial Posted March 6, 2009 Author Posted March 6, 2009 Oh, and I'm using Autocad 2002. I have access to Autocad 2008 LT as well, but I have trouble bringing images into 2008 LT (it doesn't seem to have the imageattach command), so I was using 2002. Hope I didn't forget to mention anything else. Quote
profcad Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Use the BLOCK command and turn the image into a Block. Then use the INSERT command and insert the block into the drawing. Use the properties palette and modify the X or Y scale until you get the scale you need. Quote
Jovial Posted March 6, 2009 Author Posted March 6, 2009 That is exactly what I was looking for. Never thought to try and turn it into a block. This has been bothering me all day, and of course the answer was a couple keystrokes away the whole time. Thanks alot for the quick response! Quote
