im moving a 3D drawing from from grid to the other( eg moving from national grid to a local grid). the level should remain the same but in this case the level changes,  i dont know why )

Having a hard time understanding why you're moving a Civil 3D drawing, are you trying to convert a drawing from one coordinate system to another?

It may be simpler to start a new drawing with the coordinate system you want and insert the other drawing.

I've only used Civil 3D with one Map 3D projection zone and have never had a need to move a drawing.

When you say the level changes are you talking about the elevations?

Hi Benard,
"I'm moving a 3D drawing from from grid to the other(eg moving from national grid to a local grid)."
More details please. Can you attach or post a link to your drawing?

Forgot about just use UCS for the local grid but save the UCS can then swap between local and World.

Looks like Benard has gone home.
