How to see object/blocks properties in AutoCAD

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I used to have in my left hand side of the screen a panel that was showing the properties of each object or block I select within a drawing and now I am not able to see that, I only see the panel but is empty. I have attached a picture of what I see now. How can I get back that information that was there before?

Your help will be appreciated!!!

Thank you.

type MO for properties, the pane will come up, then drag it to the right of your screen. right click on the pane, and make sure allow docking is checked, and also select anchor right. (I assume you want it on the right side according to your image, but your question references left side, if thats the case, im sure you can figure out what to do) hope this helps

Yes it does show up (and you are right is to my right hand side, sorry) but it is empty as shown in the picture and I can't get it to have the rest of the information that used to be there.

Is there any way I can fix this by replacing a file or something? It seems that my AutoCAD 2008 installation has issues with the menus.

Sorry I misunderstood the question. Only thing I can suggest is a restart, other than that ReMark or one of the other geniuses on here will have to help ya out.

By any chance have you run a registry cleaner lately? If so try running a repair.

we have seen the properties palette broken a few times recently. On more than one occasion it has been due to a "registry cleaner" program having been run, and repair was the solution.

Well, what I usually do to clean the registry in a weekly basis is to run a program called CCleaner V 2.10.618.

May this program be causing the issue?
