SLW210 Posted March 4 Posted March 4 I moved your thread to the AutoCAD 3D Modelling & Rendering Forum. Feedback is not a place to post your work and ask for recommendations, it for feedback about the CADtutor forum as noted in the description. ReMark Posted March 4 Posted March 4 (edited) Re: decorative window surround. What you are looking for is concrete trim molding for windows. Suncoast Stone and Laguna Precast are two suppliers for such products. Your depiction of roof tiles looks fine to me. What's the problem? BTW... the roof tiles are referred to as Spanish tile, barrel tile roofing and clay barrel tile. One supplier is Brava Roof Tile. Edited March 4 by ReMark Quote

I need to put Roof tiles on that roof though, how do you guys recommend I do that? I don't want to put a simple texture, I am aiming for photorealism. Any help is appreciated. Thanx Quote
ReMark Posted June 20 Posted June 20 Replicating roof tiles on your house, in 3D, instead of using a texture map could significantly increase the file size. 1 Quote
Cad64 Posted June 20 Posted June 20 I would probably use a roof texture with a normal map or maybe a displacement map if you want more realism. Having all those individual roof tiles could cause your system to bog down. But, if you want to do the roof tiles, and you're using 3ds Max, you could take a look at this maxscript plugin for creating roof tiles: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/avizstudio-tools-atiles 1 Quote
Joshmilo Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Regarding the decorative window surround in the attached picture, it looks like a stylish and classic design with a stone or concrete finish. You might want to check with local suppliers of architectural stone products or masonry companies. They often have a range of decorative elements like the one in your image. Additionally, many home improvement stores or specialty websites offer custom orders for such decorative surrounds. Let me know if you need more detailed information or have other questions! Thanks. 1 Quote
