mini Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I am running Autocad LT 2008 with Vista. When I insert blocks or xrefs (or even reload them) they take about 15 minutes to insert. I have tried purging, auditing and even inserting the drawing into a new template ... all to no affect. This happens with drawings from other sources .. not just my own. A friend had the same issue but she now uses 2009 and no longer has the problem. HELP !!! Quote
Jadeous Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Sounds like the Block or Xrefs you are trying to insert need to be purged first before inserting. Keep in mind that blocks and xrefs bring in all of their own layers and other stuff might be gummin up the works. Once you have purged the blocks or xrefs. save and close your AutoCad. Then start up, open a new drawing, and try to insert them again. Quote
mini Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Hi .... thanks for the info but I am afraid all those actions have already been done ... to NO affect. was wondering if this was a 2008 problem:? Quote
Organic Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I used 2008 up until last week and had no trouble like you describe. Quote
rkent Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Start by checking to make sure all the paths in options in AutoCAD truly exist on your computer/network. Quote
