Shift for temp Orthomode quit working

Shift for temp Orthomode quit working yesterday.

It flattens out the ortho, but does not let me pick (the endpoint of a line for example, or the rotation of a block). I can left click the mouse all I want but nothing happens.

Any quess why?

EDIT: I just found that Shift to Deselect is also not working.

Acording to Autodesk, you may need to use the Function key and F8 at the same time.

 

Or you may need to redefine your ortho key (see this page).

Yes, I saw that too, but I do not have a Fn (function) key, so it did not help.

 

Redefining the ortho key seems odd, because it always worked previously, then suddenly stopped. Seems more like a Setvar issue.
