quanbu Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 (edited) I'm build simple gates and CAD would be a good way to find the specific lengths and cutting angles for diagonal pieces, I know AutoCAD is the best and the industry standard. but I doesn't have an AutoCAD subscription. is there any decent alternative? I dont do 3D Modelling or anything like that. I have read some article about this: https://pctechtest.com/best-2d-cad-drafting-software , but not really sure about that which one is better? BIGAL Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 I use Bricscad it is very good, more ZWCAD, Drafsight, Starcad plus more. The entry level Bricscad has some great features like includes lisp and is a perpetual license. Quote
Dahzee Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 If what you need CAD for is just casual use then you may be better off with a much simpler program. Draft it from Cadlogic https://www.cadlogic.com/cad-software-products/free comes in a few different levels of cost and complexity which could serve you better. Quote
ReMark Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 Another option is nanoCAD. There is a free 2D version available. Quote
