eldon Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Following a suggestion in another thread, I thought to work out and calculate some hatches which simulated perforated plates with a certain percentage open. I calculated on a unit sided hexagon for the pattern repeat, and the holes are 12 sided polygons (dodecagon) to suit, and made a spreadsheet, so that any percentage open can be easily calculated. The process is not automatic so I will not be posting the spreadsheet, but am posting three pattern files. PerfP60.pat PerfP20.pat PerfP40.pat 1 Quote
BIGAL Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Nice idea can use ssget with "F" option to erase the exploded semi-circles on the edges. Which I think was one of the requests. Quote
eldon Posted November 19, 2023 Author Posted November 19, 2023 Having set up the equations, one can explore further. 1 Quote
eldon Posted November 22, 2023 Author Posted November 22, 2023 Even more scalings. I have attached the 50% open hatch pattern file, as it might be useful for some. PerfP50.pat Quote
