Costinbos77 Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Hi all , How can I find out if the below website sells genuine AutoCAD license ? https://nextdigitalkey.com/product/autodesk-autocad/?fbclid=IwAR3jLMz2OLvLGn9JXqF9Ot2c5c7xJbbAAmeVWi82afbsnDGaoUlbZyGoIXU_aem_AW9lbKFdjuR9hyiYjopmUsy4ftD-4F-2875ziWT6MSCK1Pi7W7CqNZ4zJEFzu1jJ_29srVRMDruW6G-oXWx8a8O4 Thanks Quote
Steven P Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 I haven't looked at the website, what is the cost they are quoting for a 'genuine' license and what is the cost that you might find elsewhere, perhaps searching Autodesk trusted resellers? If the 2 prices are very similar that adds some confidence but if the prices are very difference then be wary. For example in the UK a license is being quoted at about £1700 (discounted from £2000) 1 Quote
Steven P Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 There are of course other options, BricsCAD has a good reputation, and ZWCad gets a mention every now and then Quote
BIGAL Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Bricscad pro $1740 AUD Lite even cheaper and is perpetual. 2 Quote
Dadgad Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Apparently there was a ruling in the UK and the EU, about 10 years ago that the sale and reuse of valid licenses was not illegal. There was a posting in AUGI in 2013, I think, regarding that. It may well be water long gone under the Autodesk bridge, but there appears to have been a legal precedent established. I clicked on the link, to investigate, and I also looked at their Trust Pilot profile reviews. Due diligence is always the best way to go. Quote
Steven P Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 i didn't know that. might partly explain the shift from 'owning' the software to annual licenses Quote
