I created this mline for foundation grade beams. All i need is to to add text with updated length and is being modified.  For example i draw a straight line about 20' in length then hit regen and it will update the length to 20' . I tried making it a dynamic blocks but it will only make the drawing more heavier. I would like to keep the milne properties with the additional text. image.png.1a27a1700ce8bdb282c79675204aa1a1.png

There is lengthen lisps or even "Lengthen" command so draw a line then enter length.

Just a back to basics with ortho on, start drawing a line and drag to direction with mouse, type length and that is what it will be, no code required.

Works with mline also.

I would do a part 2 label "ALL" beams.

Bigal, it did work but I would still need the mline with text for the new length when hit regen.

I don't think you can get length directly of a mline as a field, may be able to get somehow end points, then get distance. If its 2 lines then yes as a field of 1 line length.

Maybe Google for field help.

I would only provide write a new value as say plain text no auto updating. Could erase old text and write new.
