I was more or less looking to get the OP to work it out a little more.

 

I can post my tutorial later, maybe tomorrow as there are already solutions posted.

I saw that, but there was enough above my post to give the OP the solution they'd originally asked about (the 60 radius curve).

thank you guys so much for all the helpful comments, so I think the point is we assuming the straight part end point have the same level.

Just using 15 or 16 for the radius of the throat opening of the hook works as well.

 

Were there any written instructions for these tutorials?

some did have  and this one is not yet, there are about more than one thousand excersices there.

You should look around for another source for some tutorials IMO.

 

I did a quick internet search of AutoCAD 2D exercises and selected images and found plenty that seemed more detailed, even some YouTube  tutorials.
