CAB's BreakObjects23.LSP Comes to mind. Then select lines <= the space and delete.

His works like this. trust me you want CAB's

 

c:BreakWith -     Break selected objects (green) with other selected objects (blue)

 

So Selecting the green lines first then the blue lines. it would break the green ones where blue intersected them. then then just delete the (red for refrence)  giving you the effect you want.

Used Cab's code to make cross line clean ups. I added a look for short length lines and delete after breaking.

i used this lisp to break the polyline and used Qselect command to select the lines with length 1776mm and delete it, this is also the solution
