Change box size with MTEXT size

Hello.

 

First thanks for letting me join.

 

I have a MTEXT box and the width will very based on number of characters, also it positioned on a rectangle that needs to be a certain dimension left and right of the finished MTEXT size.  Basically the letters have to attach to the rectangle below the text for machining purposes.  Not sure if this is a constraint or a LISP.

"below the text for machining purposes", are you talking about CNC machining then have a look at TXTEXP and Text2geom by Seant.
