Just My $0.05 we have plotted for years with the press of 1 menu button and works every single time. 

 

As suggested it uses a lisp, inside that lisp is the correct plotter for the output so we had 4 buttons plot "A3 B-W" "A3 Colour" "A1" "PDF" so if you pressed the correct button you get the correct plot. 

 

The important part is that your title block lives in a layout in your template and its set up at 1=1 scale ie true size so dont use fit. The mview scales the dwg object. 

 

So can provide some code it will need an edit for your title block size. In particular plot by range

I also have other programs to help with using title blocks in layouts.

 

The plot routines were expanded to include looking at user name and plotting to the correct printer depending on what floor of the building you were on.
