Hi

we all know what wblock does and how to use it.

but i wonder how it works behind the scene?

it seems like it restores the original stracture and export it to a new file.

 by wblocking a drawing:

  1. new file can be reducede up to 98% in file size
  2. new file doesnt need to be purged
  3. no errors on the new file

THanks

Wblock puts whatever you give it in a new drawing. That's all. It's not like doing a SaveAs because it builds the new file from scratch. All the features you mention are because the garbage in the old drawing doesn't get written to the new drawing.

Handy with CIV3D dwg's say "No" to "Include map" and dwgs become plain Autocad and way smaller.
