neuri Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 is there a setting I need to set? when I trim it doesnt trim like before, it goes past the line instead, it just started happening. from the photo below, look at where the Trim command stops. Instead of stopping at the vertical line, it goes past it, how do i fix this? Quote
Dadgad Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 If you haven't changed any settings, try rebooting the software. Quote
SLW210 Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Are you using quick mode or standard? Is it just certain drawings? Quote

I haven't been doing much drawing lately, but so far its only this particular drawing. I noticed when I want to click the end of a PLine or Line, the cursor somehow never latches on to the end, it latches on to 4 points AWAY from the end of the L/PLine. it's really weird. Quote
mhupp Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 @neuri check to see if all the lines are on the same elevation. Also check to see if perspective view is off. (setvar 'perspective 0) ; Turn off Perspective view in current viewport 2 Quote
Cad64 Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 I agree with mhupp. It looks like you're working in perspective or possibly a rotated UCS. In the image below, I projected your trim line and it looks like it's trimming exactly where it's supposed to. 2 Quote
neuri Posted July 20, 2022 Author Posted July 20, 2022 It's all on the same elevation, the view is from the Top, 2D Wireframe. Here's another weird trim, on the left you can see it's a single polyline, but when I trim, only a tiny section is affected. Ignore the Properties panel and other weird stuff, I have no idea how to use paint.net so this picture is scuffed. Quote
mhupp Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 Is it only in that area or geometry? set UCS to world like Cad64 thought? Quote
Dadgad Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 (edited) What is your EDGEMODE variable setting? Sounds like other members are on the right track. Do you have 3D Snaps turned on? Have you tried an AUDIT of the dwg? Or a commandline -PURGE (yes, include the - ) Edited July 20, 2022 by Dadgad DOB 1950 1 Quote
neuri Posted July 20, 2022 Author Posted July 20, 2022 3d snaps is off, purged and audited. edgemode is 0. There's nothing confidential nor important in the drawing anyways so I attached it here for you to check out. 001 - SS Foot Operated Sink REV 01.dwg Quote
