First off is 2020 supported in any way? Judging by this thread I'm pretty sure there's no hack to get it to work.

I've installed the Autodesk Extension for VSCode here: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Autodesk.autolispext

 

I've set it up as follows:

I'm getting this error when press F5 and attach the process.

I Think RonjonP said something about Lispsys variable.

Thanks. I have since migrated to AutoCAD 2023 at work and it works out of the box.

 

But 2020 says this.

Command: Lispsys Unknown command "LISPSYS".  Press F1 for help.
