Show ACTUAL Elevation in Symbol Label?

Ok... I feel like this is one of those instances where Revit has just ultimately failed in its core mission. But I'm hoping one of you smart people can prove me wrong. We have a bunch of displays, with these symbols that show up in the floorplan. And we want to be able to display the mounting height for the installers. But for the life of me, I can NOT link the actual elevation (the parameter that moves the actual object on the wall) with what's displayed. Which means I would theoretically have to go to every instance of every object in this project (and for reference, this is a $1.8 BILLION dollar building... there's a LOT of stuff in here), and manually input this information? And then redo it every time it changed? That seems like a MASSIVE failure of Revit's base mission statement to me? My other option being to remove that height from the label, and then make the installers hunt down the height for each object on a MASSIVE schedule somewhere on another page?

Please tell me I'm missing something and there's a better way to do this.
