Jean Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I am trying to create a set of 8"x3"x1.5" doors with cut outs for glass to be inserted and I understand that in order to do this I need to create a boolean? How is this done? Thanks for the information. Quote
Cad64 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Well, you don't "have to" perform a boolean operation, but if that's what you want to do . . . Create a box, the size necessary for the cutout, and then position it where you need it to be within your door. Make sure it sticks out both sides of the door. Click on the door to select it. Switch to "Compound Objects" Select the "Boolean" option Make sure "Subtraction (A-B) is selected Click "Pick Operand B" Now select the box you created for the cutout and this will punch a hole through your door.
