Text Style Font Change not Sticking

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Having a weird bug, never seen anything like this before.  Tried to Google but didn't find anything similar.

I've got a text style called 'Sheet', which previously was Arial font.  I open drawing, change font for 'Sheet', through Text Style editor, to 'Calibri', hit apply > ok > save and exit > re-open drawing... 'Steet' style has Arial font again.

I don't have any LISP routines affecting this text style... in fact, I tried to create a routine to update the style, and it doesn't always work (works sometimes).  To complicate the issue further.. I don't have a problem on every drawing, maybe only 30% of drawings are affects.

Anyone seen this before any know of a fix?

To avoid issues like this from ever happening I've always used descriptive names for Text Styles like Arial, Arial Narrow, Swiss Light, etc…

You need to figure out what's different about those drawings. Are they set up to use CAD Standards?

Hey Tombu,

Thanks for the reply.  Aye good tip regarding the Text Style names.  I must conceed that I have never really taken the time to properly square everything away in regards to CAD standards, or even basic naming conventions.  Need to get my act together.

As far as I know, these drawings are not set up for CAD standards... I don't really know how that works either haha.
