TonyBaloni Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 When I was using Windows 7 Pro I could copy (ctrl-C) an AutoCAD 2014 2D drawing and paste (ctrl-V) on to an Inventor 2014 sketch. Now with Windows 10 Pro - nothing. I can copy AutoCAD objects to clipboard but not paste to Inventor. And "Insert AutoCAD" from the Inventor sketch menu didn't work either. It works okay with AutoCAD 2014 and Inventor 2022 (student version)...but I have the 2014 Suite. Any ideas? Should I list all the things I already tried for this forum question? It's a long list + I also contacted my original reseller and Autodesk. Or just see what comments I get first? Quote
SLW210 Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Inventor 2014 (also, AutoCAD 2014) are pre Windows 10 development. Maybe look into what others are doing to fix quirks in older Inventor software on Windows 10. Do you have the latest updates for Inventor 2014? Quote
TonyBaloni Posted February 28, 2022 Author Posted February 28, 2022 Yes, all available updates/SP's were installed, still does not cut-n-paste Quote
SLW210 Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Seems to be an Inventor 2014 problem since Inventor 2022 works. Without knowing everything about your computer it's impossible to analyze every possibility remotely. You will just need to see if similar problems on Windows 10 and older Inventor versions have been fixed with a workaround. It couldn't hurt to list what has been tried so far. Quote
