The AutoCAD Blog
For this Have You Tried, we’re going to give names to AutoCAD views. A view consists of a specific magnification, location, and orientation that you can save and assign a name. This is called a named view. Named views make it easy to return to a specific view of the drawing at any time. Specific layer visibility settings can also be included in a named view. We’ll go over how to:• Create a named view• Restore a named view• Update the named view’s layer visibility settings• Hyperlink to a named view• Insert a named view in a layout Learn how to make the most of named views, with the step-by-step examples in the Have You Tried: Views with Names topic. Keep the Feedback Coming Thanks for all the great feedback submitted so far. Because of the great feedback, we have been able to improve the topics in the AutoCAD Online Help system. The best way to submit feedback is by using the “Was this helpful?” section located at the bottom of every Help topic. Let us know what you like or don’t like about a topic or provide suggestions for other subjects that you’d like to see covered in greater detail. The more specific your comments, the better.
