roz16 Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 If I have a lot of dwg files and database(like oracle or mssql) and I want to create a table in db that will contain a link to the drawing files along with more details about each drawing. There is a convenient way to make the link in autocad? Does anyone do somethings like that? There is another software that can make me this link? Quote
f700es Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 In AutoCAD type "dbc", this will open the database connection manager. Past then I have no idea. Quote
BIGAL Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 Another google "autocad link esri " If you have Map/CIV3D it has some tools also, I know looked at it but IT very quickly stopped us. Like f700es just looked around the edges. Ms Access is probably the same as Excel, open as application, Word is supported as well. Quote
f700es Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 I actually use a sql database attached to all of our cad files but it is by Archibus and only use it, I didn’t set it up. We paid $200k for it and setup. It’s hosted on AWS and out IT staff manage it for us. Quote
