CADLee Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 HI there, I have always used the full version of AutoCAD and this is the first time I am using LT. I am trying to get the paper space setup to print to a SIZE E Architecture sheet. When I used the full version it was always Student. I remember a command that was "MVSETUP" or something close to that. You would get a dialog box and have a choice of different sheet sizes with title blocks. I tried this command on LT and it did not know it. I need to get plans drawn up for this house and I need that sheet size. Or 42 X 30. Thank you Quote
BIGAL Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 The print or plot should open the plot dialouge and just select correct choices. If it does not appear type filedia and set to 1. This is Bricscad but same for Acad. You can save setup top left and use apply so remembers for next time. Quote
ReMark Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 42x30 is not a standard sheet size for architectural drawings created in Imperial units. It would be 36x48. Quote
CADLee Posted October 24, 2021 Author Posted October 24, 2021 When I go to paper space tab. "LAYOUT 1". I right click and go to page setup manager. How do I get the right paper size sheet there? Quote
Dana W Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 (edited) Click Modify on the right of the Layout manager dialog, Click Printer/Plotter on the left side of the next dialog box that pops up. Then select your printer, or PDF. Then click Paper Size a little lower down, and pick the desired paper size. If you are printing to a pdf you can use almost any paper size, as long as the final destination of the file wants it that size. Once you have all that hashed out, click OK and return to paperspace to adjust your viewport and scale to the paper size chosen. You can't pick a paper size until the program knows what printer you will be using. Edited October 24, 2021 by Dana W Quote
BIGAL Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 It sounds like you need a title block in the layout, start at 0,0 it can be as simple as a rectang say 48X36 true size. then a mview inside it. Then when you set the plot parameters the black rectang will match. Quote
