paulhea Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 Hi all. When I click on a polyline in as shown in the attached screenshot, Several dimensions with padlocks appear. Ive not seen this before, does anybody know what they are? Quote
BIGAL Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 Look up help about constraints and dynamic blocks, that is what the text is measurement d12 = 5.25 so will lock on to that spacing. Quote
Dadgad Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 As BIGAL said, those indicate Parametric Constraints are engaged. They can be turned off, or changed, but they are there for a reason, presumably the person who created this drawing had a good reason for using them. Quote
SLW210 Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 What version of AutoCAD are you using? Read more here....About Parametric Drawing and Constraints | AutoCAD | Autodesk Knowledge Network Quote There are two general types of constraints: Geometric constraints control the relationships of objects with respect to each other Dimensional constraints control the distance, length, angle, and radius values of objects The following illustration displays geometric and dimensional constraints using the default format and visibility. 1 Quote
