lamensterms Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Hey, Running ACAD 2017 on Windows 10 (new job, new PC and new installation of ACAD, but first time using ACAD2017). When editing via the Properties dialogue box... the text cursor is missing. I don't remember ever having this issue for previous versions of ACAD. Anyone seen this before? Know of a solution? Thanks for any help. Quote
Dadgad Posted July 9, 2021 Posted July 9, 2021 (edited) Try DBLCKEDIT? I see that you are on layer PS_DIM, and the Object is a LINE? Might you have Exploded a PS Dimension somehow? I never use the default Properties, am a huge fan of Quick Properties though. Edited July 9, 2021 by Dadgad typo fixed Quote
lamensterms Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 Hey Dadgad, Thanks for the reply. I'll check DBLCLKEDIT I should clarify, I have no trouble editing the values in the properties pane, it's just there is no blinking cursor to represent where the cursor is within the text box Quote
Dadgad Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 AAAH!!!! That sounds like a WINDOWS CURSOR setting to me. I just changed mine recently, added color to it, which makes it much easier to see than the default black bar Quote
lamensterms Posted July 11, 2021 Author Posted July 11, 2021 Oooo yeah good tip! What version Windows are you running? I'll have a poke around the cursor settings when I get back to work Thanks as always Dadgad! Quote
Dadgad Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Always happy to help, as you have me, getting used to ProSteel. I really like this feature, Ease Of Access settings in Windows 10 1 Quote
lamensterms Posted July 12, 2021 Author Posted July 12, 2021 Oooo very nice, I wasn't aware of the cursor indicator - definitely gunna use that. I also had a play around with the high contrast settings and was able to get the blinking cursor to display!!.... only temporarily unfortunately Quote
lamensterms Posted July 13, 2021 Author Posted July 13, 2021 I also found this after some more Googling: Suggested solution is to adjust display scaling settings - which does bring the cursor back, but means I cannot scale the displays which is a bummer Quote
