mehrdad Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 Hi, I have lots of AutoCAD drawings and i want to delete the word shows in the attached image along with the side lines. is it possible to do this with a script or lisp? Thank you Quote
Dadgad Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) Might they be on a layer which has nothing else which you WANT? If so you could either turn that layer off, or use LAYISO to isolate only that layer on your screen, then select everything and ERASE. It can certainly be done other more sophisticated ways. Are they on an expendable layer? If so I would probably do it with an ACTION RECORDER MACRO, which is pretty quick and relatively painless for those lisp-challenged users like me. I use it ALL THE TIME, open 25 drawings at a time, and bang through them. Are you able to post a sample drawing? STrip out any proprietary information, we just need to see the linework and set up of layers. Edited June 21, 2021 by Dadgad old schooler Quote
mehrdad Posted June 21, 2021 Author Posted June 21, 2021 Thank you Dadgad, I have a problem because I have 4000 sheet that I have to change something on them and if I want change every 25 sheet at the same time It will take a lot of time and I don't have much time. Could you help me if you can to increase number of pages from 25 to 100? Thank you so much for your attention 1-PA01-9008106-AQUA2-N0_Sht_1.dxf1-2-HS01-5002206-CARS5-H80_Sht_3.dxf Quote
Dadgad Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 What is it that needs changing/ Check out this link to the legendary LeeMac's Batch Find & Replace lisp. You don't even ned to open more than one drawing to use it. Done in a minute or two if it is text? http://www.lee-mac.com/bfind.html Thanks Lee! 1 Quote
Dadgad Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) Are you looking to change the BOM callout for item #5? Lee's lisp would do that, just open one to define your search parameters. Edited June 21, 2021 by Dadgad Better screenshot, more on point Quote
Dadgad Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 If the problem is TEXT, no problem. Hoping BFIND can rescue you. Open a single file from the folder or directory where your files are > Define your desired changes Browse to the directory, if it is not your current Directory Look at Options possibly? Hit OK and it will go through your 4,000 files in a few minutes, no drama. Don't forget to make a modest donation to Lee, if you can, as well as a tip of the hat. If not maybe Tharwat has something on his website. https://apps.autodesk.com/ACAD_E/en/Detail/Index?id=134530920785950835&appLang=en&os=Win32_64 Quote
Dadgad Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 This one of Tharwat's looks like it might be a good one to know about. Quote
Dadgad Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 You can try to lead a horse to water...It will even print out a report of all of the drawings in which it was founf and changed! LeeMac RULES! Quote
mehrdad Posted June 21, 2021 Author Posted June 21, 2021 Thank you very much for your guidance, But how do we eliminate the sidelines? Quote
Dadgad Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 You are welcome. It is 9:30 p.m. and after my workout I didn't go down for dinner because I hoped that I might be able to help you. Sorry I don't know any magical way to eliminate them. I am afraid you will be opening those 4,000 drawings after all, and I am going to step away from the magic box now and enjoy some dinner. Good luck with them, maybe another forum member will know a clever way. Quote
BIGAL Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 In the sample dwg everything is on 1 layer making life very hard, does the dwg exist with different layers ? The only way I see is Find plines Also look for a line touching, If line exists get the other 2 lines get text inside. Erase all the objects You have some small pline boxes with say a single number but no line attached so take it for granted that is to remain. Using Aeccorconsole would be the way to go with a lisp.
