Bill Tillman Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I have prepared the attached 3D model of a relatively simple concrete ramp for a commercial project. Just like so many times in the past I keep running into this same issue. So is it an issue with AutoCAD or an issue with the user...or as we used to say, a short circuit between the seat and keyboard ... ie. user error? Ramp Rails.dwg Quote
BIGAL Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Did ucs ob picked b, at a-b there is a radius, I moved the a-b away using grips and reconnected to end of b then did PEDIT join etc Quote
lrm Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Where A meets B you have three lines and they do not end at the same point. Here's a magnified image of the junction where I have move the 3 lines apart. BTW, the lines do not need to be collinear to convert them to a polyline. They must lie on the same plane however and share end points. Quote
BIGAL Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Like you Lrm I did not look as hard moved the wrong line, but a drafting problem. Quote
Bill Tillman Posted March 27, 2021 Author Posted March 27, 2021 Thanks all. I knew it had to be sloppy drafting so I went back and carefully laid it out again. I got the grabrail to be one continuous piece all the way up and around the ramp surfaces. But it's not there yet. Will hack at this a little more tonight and post results tomorrow. Quote
