What is the Defpoint layer, and how to remove

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

When I open the standard template acadiso.dwt for the first time, there is only one layer the "0" default layer.

I then go to DIMSTYLE and set up the dimension style, and I end up with another layer called Defpoints.

I  want to send my drawing to a CNC machine with only the one layer "0", as the machine does not accept, multiple layers,  dimensions or anything like hidden lines etc

What is this Defpoints layer, and is it critical, and can it be removed after I have done the drawing and removed any dimensions?

Definition points are reference points for dimensions, these are same points which appear at grip location when a dimension is selected.. Once anything using the layer is removed, it can be purged, though LAYDEL (Layer delete) might be easier.
