GeeN Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I am a complete novice and pardon me if my qn is ludicrous. I was trying to add text to a drawing using the push button [A]. Initially it was showing a pop up where i typed my text. But now when i try to use it, nothing happens. Not sure what i did. Pls guide. I managed to get the Autocad 97 version only!! Added to it, am using the Japanese Version of the software which is making life more difficult as a beginner. -G Quote
totzky Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 If you right-clicked > customize right-click>properties on the button, can you see this line ^C^C_mtext under macro associated with this button? Quote

GeeN Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Thank you very much for the response. I managed to go to the Customize Proerties and all i could see is the name and the description. It doesnt show me the Macro associated box. Not sure if it was some version mismatch. -G Quote
totzky Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 How about the other buttons on the same toolbar, are they behaving the same? Quote
totzky Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Another way to check this macro is to open your ACAD.MNS file with a notepad. If you can read and understand what's written there find this part (attached) under toolbars. Be warned, however, that before you make changes have a backup copy first. This .mns file is usually found in SUPPORT folder of your Acad directory. tb draw.txt Quote
