As Bigal mentioned, we have already provided you with a lot of good information here in this thread, and you even mentioned that your were going to go with the Lenovo laptop, so I'm not sure what else we can suggest? 1 Quote
Dadgad Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 While, as mentioned by BIGAL & Cad64, there has been a wealth of good information already provided in the earlier posts, it is worth noting that the price point/goal posts have been moved from $500 to $860, which would likely turn over a few new stones in the hunt. If that's the case, and there's more money in the budget, then definitely bump up the RAM to 16gb and consider going with an SSD drive, as mentioned previously. Quote

I am willing to buy a laptop under $500, which I will use majorly for my work(Interior Design). The software's which I will be using are: AutoCad 2017 or above Google Sketchup Photoshop MS Office etc. With extensive research on Designs. Please help me with best suited configuration required, for my use in my budget. Also , should I buy AMD Ryzen laptop or Intel? Thank you. Hope everyone is safe and taking precautions in this pandemic situation. Hello. My current laptop is 12 years old and works well but need a new laptop for an upcoming 2 week business trip. My current laptop is 17.3 inches, too heavy and does not hold charge for too long. So thinking of buying a new laptop which would also seve as my next laptop when my current laptop dies. Any suggestions what to get, like minimum configuration, make/model etc and what to stay away from. I would prefer to buy at Costco as I would get an extra year of warranty but open to buying elsewhere if highly recommended. Thanks in advance Quote
