Toolpalette source file

Hello everybody,

Some of our designers work at home and some in the office, the Tool-palette is not working for the designer at home because the source file of the Tool-palette blocks are linked to a server folder.

The home system/laptop has the same folder structure recreated on it as is on your network.  (The designers at home have all blocks saved on "C:" and the designers in the office go on "G:")

Is it possible to add a environment variable (%ye_acad%) in the source file code.

I have tested those “%ye_acad%\ArticleLibrary\08-Supplier\SteelProfiles\UK\Universal Columns” but it doesn't work.

Many thank

Francine

You could try 2 things neither tested.

Add support / trusted path C:............. etc in autocad this may work as it will not find G: but look further.

You can map a drive try G: = c drive,  google map drive.

Thank for your solutions,

I'm going to try the solution by adding support / trusted path.

But a have a lot of folder, is it possible to put only a part of the path in the "source file" and the other in the support? (see add picture)

Exemple : the two possible path for "UC152x152x23" are  :

G:\TE-Templates\01-AutoCADTemplates\CAD\ArticleLibrary\08-Supplier\SteelProfiles\UK\Universal Beams

C:\YUEU_CADSettings\General\CAD\ArticleLibrary\08-Supplier\SteelProfiles\UK\Universal Beams

Try in your C : drive support add the double period to \Article Library..

I dont use toolpalettes they can be exported as xtp files which are xml files so it may be able to edit the paths if not coded in some way and resave with new name and re import.

I don't have any xtp custom toolpalettes.

have  a look at this as well
